This lake is a little gem. Many summers, we spent at a friend's cottage, swimming, kneeboarding, and having lily pad water fights. Nestled in Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park and next to Wolf Lake, Crab, Turtle and Anstruther Lake. You dont see properties come up very often on Loon Call Lake, I believe its because they are passed down through families or private sales. This lake is clean and clear and great for swimming, kayaking, boating or just enjoying a morning coffee on the dock. Granite outcroppings, which the area is known for, and appropriately named Loon Call, as you are visited by many loons and can enjoy their calls back and forth to each other while sitting on the patio.
The lake is about 4 kilometres long and just less than a kilometre wide, a perfect average-sized lake for our area. Minutes to all the amenities that Apsley has to offer, including a grocery store, LCBO, Hardware store, general store, specialty coffee shop, gas station, pharmacy, library, specialty food & sandwich shop, second-hand shop, community centre, gym & rink at the NKCC
