My husband and I went for a drive one morning in search of a cottage. We decided to drive until we saw a beautiful area with several lakes to chose from. When we arrived in Apsley we thought we had found an ideal location to begin our search. We walked into the local real estate office where we were greeted by a very warm and friendly Mary-Lyn Moore. After spending a short time describing what we were looking for, she pulled a few local listings in our price range, made a few phone calls and proceeded to tour us around the area to the chosen properties. While driving Mary-Lyn provided us with firsthand knowledge of each lake and the surrounding areas. The information she was able to provide was simply priceless. Over the next week or so we returned to Apsley several times to look at cottage properties with Mary-Lyn and each time we found her to be professional, knowledgeable and simply delightful. She was even able to recommend local businesses for things like dock installation, contracting, wood stove certification, boat purchases/repairs and provided us with information to contact the local utilities. Between visits we maintained close contact with Mary-Lyn through text, email and by phone. Although we live 90 mins away, we always felt she was close by with her quick replies to text messages or email. In the end my husband and I decided to purchase the very first property Mary-Lyn had shown us. We couldn't be happier with our cottage purchase and we are grateful to Mary-Lyn for all her knowledge and assistance. We've found our little piece of paradise and made a friend along the way. I can recommend Mary-Lyn unreservedly, she is very knowledgeable, helpful and above all "patient". She always found new listings for me to look at, and she went out of her way to show some that were in out of the way places. Did I mention she was patient. She was full of good advice and found all kinds of information on the houses I was interested in. She definitely went above and beyond what you would expect from a normal real estate agent.
